COMPUTER USER VERSUS COMPUTER USAGE

Hello guys! Today I will share to you all about what the criteria of the computer that needed as a lecturer 😊




1)   INPUT DEVICES

  • Keyboard
✔ The keyboard is the most common and very popular input device which helps to input data to the computer.

  • Mouse
✔ It is a very famous control device having a small palm size box with a round ball at its base, which senses the movement of the mouse and sends corresponding signals to the CPU when the mouse buttons are pressed.

✔ Can be used to control the position of the arrow on the screen, but it cannot be used to enter text into the computer.



2)   OUTPUT DEVICES

  • Projector
✔ An optical device that moving images onto a surface, commonly a projection screen.

✔ Most of lecturers use projector during class to show notes, information, video and other to students which is the lecturer connect the projector from the laptop through USB port. So that, the students can view it.

  • Printer
✔An external hardware output device that takes the electronic data stored on a computer or other device and generates a hard copy of it.

✔As lecturers, they created a notes on their computer, and they could print several copies to give to students.

  • Loud speaker
✔ An electroacoustic transducer; a device which converts an electrical audio signal into a corresponding sound

✔ Lecturers using loudspeaker when they open video or something that have sound to ensure that all students in the class can hear it.



3)   SYSTEM UNIT

  • Storage : : ROM 500GB
✔ A storage medium that is used with computers and other electronic devices.

✔ As the name indicates, data stored in ROM may only be read

✔ This amount storage is suitable for lecturers which can save the students attendance data, students test or quiz marks, lecturers’ information and others.

  • RAM : Minimum 4GB / Maximum 6GB
✔ A super-fast, high speed storage that computer and its applications utilize to store and access temporary data

✔ This amount RAM is suitable for lecturers to save picture, other data that not directly involved to students or other lecturers.



4)   COMMUNICATION DEVICES

  • Email
✔ Information stored on a computer that is exchanged between two users over telecommunications

✔ As lecturers, they use email to communicate with students, other lecturers or staff. Sometimes, they could communicate with outsider such as for student visit purpose

  • E-learning
✔ A learning system based on formalised teaching but with the help of electronic resources

✔ As a network enabled transfer of skills and knowledge, and the delivery of education is made to a large number of recipients at the same or different times.

✔ Lecturers using E-learning as communication device with students. In this E-learning, the lecturers will share all the notes, assessment and other task. Moreover, it easy to student to submit their assignment through E-learning.
